Organization for Minority Rights Advocates (OMRA) is a proactive, Non- profit, Non-Partisan and Non-Governmental Organization officially registered with the concerned Federal government and Federal Member State institutions. Founded by members of Somali minority and Marginalized communities, OMRA is committed to enhancing the living conditions and rights of marginalized and vulnerable groups across Somalia.
OMRA is centered on empowering these communities to develop sustainable solutions, moving beyond poverty, marginalization, and unemployment. We prioritize active participation and partnerships aimed at alleviating human suffering by providing tailored humanitarian interventions in response to Somalia's ongoing challenges.
OMRA is committed to tackling the multifaceted challenges faced by minority and Marginalized communities by conducting research and advocating for minority rights. We focus on socio-cultural, economic, and technological empowerment initiatives that aim to provide minority groups with access to essential social services and developmental opportunities. Our mission includes disseminating proactive information to marginalized communities to counteract harmful cultural practices and societal influences. Moreover, OMRA endeavors to foster self-sufficiency and sustainable growth within Somalia's most underserved minority populations through strategies that emphasize community involvement and individual empowerment.Vision

Our Objectives
- Attract attention from the International Humanitarian Community by prioritizing concerns of minority communities, ensuring they receive information and humanitarian aid.
- Raise awareness among local communities about utilizing available resources fairly among minorities, empowering them to address their own issues within their capacity.
- Advocate for peaceful coexistence and non-discrimination in Somalia, empowering minority rights and marginalized groups.
- Provide health and nutrition benefits equally to minority and marginalized communities.
- Empower minority and marginalized communities in Somalia by addressing socio economic challenges, enhancing political participation in line with international human rights standards, and finding innovative solutions to improve access to justice.
- Promote reconciliation, integrate peacefully, eradicate injustice and social exclusion, alleviate poverty and suffering among vulnerable groups, ensuring they enjoy equal rights and dignified lives alongside other Somalis.
- Facilitate community-based projects, deliver adequate healthcare, and create opportunities for self-employment to improve living standards.
